As the baby boom generation grows older, the shortage of professionals in home care grows to the point of the crisis. There are not enough assisted-living apartments for seniors with affordable prices, and most baby boomers do not want to leave their homes. This leaves few options. Some families have at least one child with the resources, patience, knowledge and time to care for their elderly parents, but this is not always the case. What about small families? The chance is small.

Many baby boomers have collected a nice nest egg in recent years and are going to hire a home care provider. Some do not have the ability to understand how to deal with these challenges, how they can seek help, and so their children continue to face challenges; Find a reputable agency and try to get a fair and reasonable price for services to healthcare providers.

Recently there was an article in the WSJ with the title: "Lack of care in the United States - Smaller and more remote families mean fewer unpaid helpers, are you really my daughter?" by Clare Ansberry, published on July 21, 2018. The article noted many unfortunate convergent tendencies, such as the number of singles older than 70 years without a partner to look after them, something happened. In addition, there is less choice in the field of long-term health insurance, because some companies have stopped providing such coverage. Another problem is the percentage of our population with obesity and worsening health. The number of dementia's is also increasing.

The baby boomers and the next generation have fewer children, which limits the possibility that one of the children can stop living to take care of their elderly parents.

Within 10 years the number of caregivers could increase by 13% - that is the good news - but the number of people over 65 will increase by 84%. Worse, the estimated number of people with Alzheimer's disease is expected. rise by 150% by 2030, provided that no cure is found. Demography is not here.

Okay, what's the shortage of something? Supply and demand 101 dictate that prices will rise. If the costs of nurses and provisions for seniors increase, the demand for paid home care staff will increase. Who will fill this void as the deficits increase? Well, maybe someone wants a job and that brings me to my last point.

How do you know that you use a qualified carer or a health professional? It is better to use a desk that controls the background in a proper way and knows what to look for. Otherwise, the challenge of caring for a love could be much greater. Think about it.
